L Lumo Browser

Legal

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Lumo Browser (“Lumo”, “the app”) handles information. Lumo is designed so that the developer does not collect, sell, rent or use your browsing data for advertising or tracking.

Information stored on your device

Lumo stores browser preferences, pinned sites, site-specific settings, notes, downloaded-file references, profile settings and optional Companion artwork and audio locally on your iPad. This information is used only to provide features you choose to use. Removing the app may remove locally stored app data, subject to iPadOS behavior and any backups you control.

Passwords and authentication

Credentials you choose to save are stored using Apple Keychain services. Lumo uses device authentication, such as Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode, before revealing or filling a saved password. The Lumo developer does not receive or have access to your saved usernames or passwords.

Optional iCloud sync

If you enable an iCloud synchronization feature, supported Lumo data is transferred and stored using Apple iCloud services associated with your Apple Account. The developer does not operate this storage and does not have access to your private iCloud content. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and terms.

Websites you visit

Like any web browser, Lumo connects directly to websites and services you choose to visit. Those sites may receive information normally sent by a browser, including your IP address, user-agent information, cookies, requests and information you submit to them. Websites may collect data under their own privacy policies. Lumo does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites or their practices.

Website permissions

A website may request access to device capabilities such as the camera, microphone or location. iPadOS and Lumo display permission controls where applicable. Permission data is provided to the requesting website for the requested function; it is not sent to the Lumo developer.

Downloads, photos and files

When you select a photo, image, audio file or download location, Lumo uses Apple’s system pickers and accesses only the items you select or locations for which you grant access. These items are processed on your device and are not uploaded to the Lumo developer.

Lumo Pro purchases

Lumo Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Lumo checks Apple-provided transaction information to determine whether the feature is unlocked. The developer does not receive your full payment-card information. Apple may provide developers with aggregated sales and transaction reporting in accordance with Apple’s policies.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

Lumo does not include third-party advertising SDKs, does not use your activity for cross-app tracking and does not send browsing history to the developer for analytics. If this changes in a future version, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the new practice applies.

Data retention and deletion

Locally stored content remains until you delete it in Lumo, clear the relevant app data or remove the app. You can disable optional iCloud sync in Lumo and manage iCloud data through your Apple Account settings. Because the developer does not maintain user accounts or a server-side database of your browsing data, there is ordinarily no personal browsing record held by the developer to delete.

Children

Lumo is a general-purpose browser and is not directed specifically to children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Websites accessed through Lumo may have their own age requirements and privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Lumo’s features or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision.
